This weekend is Eid al-Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice in Islam. Hamada and Noor both said blood will “run down the street” on Saturday. In the meantime, butchers have been busy around town preparing for the holy days.

Tomorrow I’m making meatballs to accompany Francesca’s spaghetti for our own little feast.
